Newborn Studio Sessions
Welcome to the studio!
We are located in Russell, Ontario, and use natural light. Newborn sessions are upwards of two hours in length - we aren’t in a rush and we go based on how baby is feeling! These sessions take place Monday-Friday, and solely in the morning due to the use of natural light and when we can best use the natural sun to our advantage!
What to expect from your newborn session:
Please let me know as soon as you’re able when your little one has arrived so we can get you booked in promptly! The best timing for newborn photos is between 7-12 days old, as they are easily moved and wrapped without startling.
We do have a client closet for Mama’s and toddlers, and can provide direction for partners clothing to match.
Newborns do not need outfits (you’re welcome to bring some if you’d like!), as they are wrapped up nice and cozy!
When you arrive, take your time getting settled in. I understand this may be one of your first times leaving the house as a new little family and it can be overwhelming. I’m here to make it fun! No stress!
We want baby to be nice and sleepy so we are going to follow their cues. If food is needed, we stop and feed, etc.
Set up:
We will start with family photos (all family and siblings), and then move to just siblings, followed by parents together and individual with the baby. We will then focus just on baby!
The studio is natural light and gives a boho feel. Photos are lightly posed and will capture the true, joyful connection!
The studio is kept very warm to keep baby cozy and settled.
You will receive a sneak peek from your session within 72 hours. You will receive a lightly edited gallery to select photos from within a week. Once you have chosen which images you would like to purchase from your gallery, your completed gallery will be delivered within 2 weeks. You will receive printing rights, and you can share and post photos from your final gallery to your hearts content!
