Your wedding day

This is a day you will always remember; the beginning of a new and exciting journey. You may have been dreaming about this day since you were a child, or ideas may have just begun to blossom recently. Either way, the people you choose to surround yourself with on your most special day is an important decision!

I have been shooting weddings since 2017, and since then, I have photographed over fifty weddings in the Ottawa area. I have been part of so many beautiful moments, from first looks to end of the night kisses, and I love all of the moments in between. I have seen some last minute jitters turn into butterflies of anticipation. I have seen stress, excitement, and giddiness. I have seen hair catch fire, vases shattering, last minute haircuts, and lost rings - every wedding day has a story to tell!

I genuinely love what I do, and I cherish the time I get to spend with you in preparation for your wedding day! I am not just there to photograph you getting ready, seeing one another for the first time, or capturing your first dance. I jump right in to help make your day run smoothly! I have steamed veils, cut flowers, set up chairs, pinned boutonnieres, pushed bobby pins into place, and served cake. I’m there; use me!

What sets me apart?

Well, I’m not very traditional with my photos. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely do capture the standard posed photos with family and friends. However, my love for wedding days shows through my photos in between those special moments; a runaway tear, a stolen kiss, a sweet glance. I like capturing the details you may forget, that are strong and alive the day of your special day. The photos that remind you how in love you were in that moment. I like being able to freeze moments that may someday remind you of your love and connection when you might need a reminder.

I get invested in your love story. I cry when the groom cries; I hold back tears while capturing the Father/Daughter dance. I hug the Mums goodbye at the end of the night, and I become friends with the bridesmaids. I’m not just there to be another day-of vendor. I want to support you to ensure you have the best wedding day you could dream of!

How can I help you on your wedding day?

Let’s start at the beginning: I’m a lot of fun. The cheesy kind of fun - I love Disney and joy and love. I truly love LOVE. I bask in your joy.

On your wedding day, I am a positive light that will keep everyone going, even through those stressful moments. I come prepared: I have a bag that is brought to every wedding that contains the following in organized, easily accessible bins:

  1. First aid kit; bandaids, wraps, kleenex, string, polysporin, hand sanitizer

  2. Miscellaneous; compact mirror, lip balm, hand lotion, small kleenex packs (perfect for MOB and MOG), bobby pins, safety pins, swiss army knife (sometimes those forgotten about tags and loose strings are finicky!), TUMS, Advil, Tylenol, liners and tampons, Tide to Go, gum, mints, mini deodorant

  3. Food; You’ll be surprised how many wedding party members don’t eat the morning of the wedding, and by the time the ceremony is over and we’re gathering to take photos, they become light headed. I bring granola bars, energy bars, chocolate bars, and candy to suck on for sugar (Starburst, Smarties, Jolly Ranchers, Skittles). I also bring a handful of water bottles just in case (important to stay hydrated!)

  4. Detail/Styling Kits; It’s important to have beautiful photos of your little details, right? Well, I bring ribbons, ring boxes, lace, and greenery to add a bit of a pop to your photos!

  5. Detailed Itinerary; A few weeks before your wedding day, I will send you a list of questions that will allow me to help you work through your day. These include group listings (I write down every single persons name and who they will be grouped with for the photos so that when the time comes for group pictures, we can zoom through them while ensuring we don’t miss anyone!), specific shots you want taken, and any important details of the day. This also includes a detailed outline of the day so your photographer can always stay ahead of the game!
